My reader asked: why ask for a cell phone #?, and remarked on the “courier charge”.. I’ll posit that to you Dear Readers. Why do you think they want a cell phone number?

I am not sure why they would want your phone number other than to sell it to a telemarketer company in some foreign company.
I don’t have a cell phone, so I am not a valid “participant”

Kloplop321,
Good point. Or.. since you pay for the data/text, maybe they want to message spam you to bankruptcy..?

There is a problem with that, it costs nothing to send emails, it costs 0.01 cents to send an SMS message. They aren’t going to massively do that, it would not be effective. Though I think that it would be nice if all of the government’s officials got on their list so they can get ticked off and file legal action, or make it so that the Phone providers are strict on foreign messages

Kloplop321,
Yes. I was being a tiny bit capricious there.. You have a good idea. Get the lawmakers to take notice of what we “average folk” are contending with.
