Tech – for Everyone

Tech Tips and Tricks & Advice – written in plain English.

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

— inaccurately attributed to
Ralph Waldo Emerson

    • Tracy,
      I have had almost 50 years on this planet and I have traveled and I have met lots and lots of people, quite literally from all “walks of life”, from the lowest to the highest (though I haven’t met a Senator, or President of anything) and not once – ever – has anyone told me what you did in the comment you left on my blog today.
      I have no idea what to say to you, and no experience to draw upon. I only know I don’t want to sound like a jackass.

      Since brevity is the soul of wit, I will simply say that I thought the Success poem was a nice piece of writing; that I thought people ought to be exposed to if they hadn’t been yet; and, that I am glad you thought so too. I thank you for sharing with me and my readers.

  2. I think success is what you do on your way to those things. And if you get all of those things you are a very lucky person indeed. I have found that keeping a journal has really helped me understand and appreciate where I am heading.

    • Ryan,
      I agree. Success, like life, is a journey.
