Software License Giveaway Drawing
A Chance To Win A Powerful Prize
Q: Folks, do you want have an reliable tool to Detect and Remove Spyware, Adware and Malware, Trojans, Dialers, Worms, KeyLoggers, HiJackers, Parasites, Rootkits, Rogue Security Products and many other types of threats?
A: Yes.
Well, folks, Okay. I will tell you about a program I use that I have mentioned here before. It is an anti-malware scanner that I use on the job, on several of my own machines, recommend to clients, and install on the PC’s of my friends and family. I’ll tell you why — it’s simple and it’s effective. Since it “plays well” with most other security programs, it makes a great additional layer of protection to your existing antivirus/security solution.
Q: Folks, would you like to win a lifetime license for such a program?
A: The good folks there at SUPERAntiSpyware (known in the biz as “SAS”) have generously donated five Professional licenses to me – “lifetime” licenses no less – to award to my readers. I sincerely thank them for that.
The Professional Edition includes Real-Time Protection and scheduling and is one of the few programs I regularly reco getting the ‘for pay’ version. (An ounce of Prevention is worth 20 pounds of Cure, when it comes to malware!)
* Real-Time Blocking of threats! Prevent potentially harmful software from installing or re-installing.
* First Chance Prevention examines over 50 critical points of your system each time your system starts up and shuts down to eliminate threats before they have a chance to infect and infiltrate your system.
* Schedule either Quick, Complete or Custom Scans Daily or Weekly to ensure your computer is free from harmful software.
(So those of you already running the free edition should still enter.. IMHO.)
So I am announcing my latest software license giveaway contest. I will draw names from folks who “enter” by posting a comment (below). The drawing will conclude at midnight on Thursday, May 13, so act now.
Simply click on “comment” and enter a name and valid e-mail in the form (so I can send you the key). Actually commenting is optional. And, I shouldn’t have to say this but, multiple entries in this contest will result in disqualification. The five winners will be announced Friday.
For those who would simply like to learn more about this great security program, the SAS website is here.
To read what I have said about SAS:
Also, I refer you to this Bill Mullins article, SUPERAntiSpyware Professional – The Name Says It All!
Thanks again to SUPERAntiSpyware, and good luck to those who enter!

old salt,
Just for FYI purposes, the free edition of SAS is just as effective as the “Pro” version at finding and removing malware, you just need to remember to run it every so often (as it is lacking a scheduler) and combine it with another Anti-Malware tool that does have “active” shielding.

Tech Paul, thank you for organising this promotion! This is really great piece of software and I would love to win a lifetime license. This is the third time I have tried to win a copy of this great software since XMAS last year – with no luck! They say third time’s the charm…so hopefully I win this time! I am planning on getting a new computer in the next couple of months and this would be an invaluable addition to it. Paul please confirm I am in the draw for this great software! Cheers.

Hello Paul!
Incredible that’s the word that comes to mind when I think of the SAS Pro application.I have been using the free SAS for a year now and it has helped me on numerous times. The best thing about it is,it even removes adware tracing cookies which are quite common these days on the net.I would sure like to win SAS Pro because it’s real-time feature is something which prevents these adwares, spywares and other malwares from getting installed in the System in the first place.
Thank you and SUPERAntiSpyware for this truly magnificent giveaway.Cheers.

Great promotion for a high quality, consistently reliable and reasonably priced bullet (does sucking up help?) in our PC defense arsenal.
All kidding aside; products like this from folks like them should be afforded a lot of free PR exposure; good job

Hi Paul,
I have been using the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware for almost 3 years now. It is a great software which keeps away unwanted things, especially those missed by my Norton Antivirus 2009.
It will be of great help if I win a professional license, as now I have to manual update & scan. With Pro it will provide me real-time protection, auto-update & scheduling.
Also thanks for providing link to Bill Mullin’s article.

Dana,
In The Beginning (of computers, and the Internet).. a long, long, time ago.. the people who wrote “viruses” were indeed, largely, very bright, bored kids, and “phone phreaks” trying to gain free access to “the net”. And, yes, there was a certain “look at how smart I am”.
Make no mistake. Like the T-rex, those days are long gone.
Today’s “malware” (aka “virus”) is REALLY “crimeware”, and the “idiots” are criminals (thieves): often well-organized, well-financed gansters. (Not to mention, government sponsored cyber-warfare specialists..) Just as “malware” is an obsolete term, so is “hacker” (“cyber-criminal”).
This is just one quote from one of the reports in my Inbox this morning… “Cybercrime has never been more prevalent. The number of perpetrators and crimes is on the rise — and techniques used to steal money and data grow more sophisticated every day.”
This is largely unreported as, the Internet is the goose that’s laying the golden eggs (for a few) and we can’t “shake consumer confidence”.
