  6. This is a great piece of software, Paul. I won a licence for it on Bill Mullins’s blog a some time ago. It’s great at rooting out bad stuff.

    Congratulations to your winners!

  7. Paul Andrew Russell,
    I don’t work on commission here, and nobody pays me to write. SUPERAntiSpyware is just one tool in the battle against cybercrime; but it is effective and earns my unreserved recommendation. I advise my clients to purchase the Lifetime Pro (as prevention is far better than clean-up-after), and I almost never reco “for pay” software.. so that tells you something.
    Good people there at SAS too.

    But it important that folks hear things from other folks (“customer testimonials”, if you will) so I appreciate your taking the time to contribute this.

    • One of the reasons I continue to visit your blog, Paul, is because of what you say about free software and the recommendations you give to people less tech-savvy than yourself about that software. Your advice is very much appreciated, and to do it for free is an honourable thing.

      It’s very difficult to know who is connected to what business interests out there, so that’s why I tend to stick with the free stuff unless several different people recommend a program, like SUPERAntispyware.

      Thanks Paul

      • Thanks, Paul.

        You have ‘tickled me into’ repeating my (current) list of “for pay” security reco’s… To be fair:
        * Norton: Internet Security 2009/2010/360
        * Eset: NOD32
        * PC Tools: Spyware Doctor+AV
        * Webroot: Spy Sweeper+AV
        * WinPatrol
        * ASquared (now Emisoft)
        * SUPERAntiSpyware
        * Kasperski (Excellent AV, but too slow for me.)

        there’s a few more, but I’m drawing a blank at the moment..

        * You may be curious to know that one of the sources I trust is Neil J. Rubenking. His product reviews can be found at PC Magazine.com.

        • Thanks Paul, I’ll definitely check out Neil J Rubenking. I must confess I’ve not heard of him but I’m not a tech, just a user of technology.

          Thanks

  8. Congrats to all the winners of the recent contest.

    …and Paul I missed this contest, guess that happens when one does not “take the time to read your blogs on daily basis.

    Will do better for the next contest, will take the time to read…

  9. Thanks Paul!

    I already have several SUPERAntiSpyware lifetime licenses. This one is earmarked for a new laptop I’ll be picking up later this week.

    The limited SAS free version is good, but realtime blocking in the pro version is worth more than the price you’ll pay for it.

  10. rodzilla,
    Congratulations. I hope you enjoy the new laptop and the comfort of knowing you will have SAS onboard.

    And I have to agree. When you go to the “purchase Pro” page, there is the option to buy a “Lifetime” license for only $10 more.. making SAS Pro one of the best values amongst anti-malwares (IMHO).
