Sunday Beauty XIII

For today’s Sunday Beauty photo, I went searching for photos taken in one of my favorite locations — Yosemite.

El Capitan, Yosemite National Park, USA.

I am rather lucky in that Yosemite National Park is not too terribly far from me, and I have been able to visit many times. If you have been fortunate enough to have visited yourself, I believe you will agree with me that it is special. If you have not yet been, I hope you will one day get a chance to visit. (I have never said so here before, but I am a fan and supporter of our National Park Service.)

  1. This Sunday Beauty… a beautiful scene! No I have not visited Yosmemite National Park, (living in Canada) to experience it as a desktop is a good idea.

    • Gaia,
Footage I saw during this past Winter’s Olympics, and a motor tour through British Columbia I experienced as a boy, makes me think that Canada has some rather spectacular scenery too…

But yes, this image does make a nice Desktop “background” – for those who like pretty nature scenes. I’m using it on my laptop now.

  2. Thanks Paul, yes we in Canada have some beautiful country… glad you had the opportunity to see some of our “beauty”.

… Also, I am always in “awe” of the beauty in other parts of the world…natures kinder side.

    • Kinder? I think there’s man-eating bears there.. and rattlesnakes.

Seriously though — yes, I am very glad I was exposed to nature and our National Parks as a lad. I feel very sad for those whose whole world and whole experience is one square city block…
