A Tuesday Triple Play – 3 Quick Reco’s

Today’s first quick recommendation is for those of you who use the Internet.

And since you’re seeing this, that includes you, Dear Reader. Right? Right. I have already mentioned this safer surfing tool here, but I cannot recommend it highly enough, and recent events reminded me of it, so, please take a look at Tech Paul’s Friend of the Internet Surfer Award – 2010.

Today’s second reco is for those of you who own computers.

And since you’re seeing this, that includes you, Dear Reader. Right? Right. Since you own and use a computer, you’ll want to know about (and I hope you’ll act on) this Computer Tip of the Day.

And my last quick recommendation is for those of you who enjoy good movies.

Hollywood used to know how to make good movies. They started with a good story, not a big budget for special effects. The other night, I just randomly happened to notice that a certain film was being shown. I haven’t sat and watched a movie in ages.. and, the title is on my Top 30 Movies Of All Time list, so I stayed up late and watched The African Queen.

AfricanQueen
Rose Sayer and Charlie Allnutt

(aka Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn)(Bogie won Best Actor for this portrayal.)

I’m too old to make a habit of staying up late, but I am glad I did it. I hope you’ll look at my Top Movies list, and I hope you’ll take a little time out of your busy, busy lives, and put your feet up and relax, and watch a decent film. (Maybe.. The African Queen, even. These actors are AFI’s #1 [male+female] after all). Life is short, they say.
