• About Tech Paul
I am a Retired computer & network technician. I used to think the machines were pretty cool. Now I don’t.
They’re anything but.
I regularly posted how-to’s and tricks & tips and general computing advice here starting in 2007. (Use the Search tool to find answers. But be aware, many are rather dated.) Sometimes I answered (your) specific questions in an article if I believed the answer was generally helpful to “everyone”. All the writing you see was my own, typos and all. There always is/was an implied “IMHO” in what you see here.

Well, I’m still rooting for the Steelers (even if they have made some serious errors so far)!
10 minutes left in the 3rd quarter… Go Steelers!

Good job there Paul…
Those are the two I wanted to see win, but I didn’t think GB could pull it off. Man, was I ever wrong!

KsTinMan,
I have to admit.. it feels pretty good going 2/2 on such (seemingly) well-matched games.
I don’t think anyone (I certainly don’t know anyone) predicted that big a score difference in the Green Bay game.
I have a new appreciation for Aaron Rodgers too.

Cappydawg,
I had a sneaking suspicion I might hear from you .. and it might be something along those lines..
I have a slightly different “fan situation” here: I have to hope that a new coach (with 7 seasons of college-level coaching experience) can perform a miracle with my Pro team.
Next year.

PAUL,
I don’t think this is going to be an easy game for us. The Jets beat us at home earlier this season. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed.

Cappydawg,
In week 1, I picked the Pats to go all the way. The Jets played well, and the Pats.. well, you cannot drop catch-able balls and miss tackles in big games. There is also a vague.. um.. “sense” that the Jets have some.. “destiny”.
Combine that with how I feel about Roethlisberger (I know.. the cases got dropped).. I am going to root for Jets. Even though they’re 3.5 point underdogs.
Sorry.. nothing personal!
Can the Jets beat the Steelers? I think so.
Can the Steelers beat the Jets? I think so.
It has all the makings of a great game.

Paul,
I agree with you on the Roethlisberger thing. I have feelings on that too. But being a Pittsburgher (suburbs) I have to go with the home team. It should be a good game. Steelers and Packers for the Super Bowl.

Cappydawg,
A Steelers / Packers Super Bowl is the prevailing consensus. (And both are favored by 3 1/2 this week) If it is, I will root for the Pack.
(Again, nothing personal!!!)
And yes, I think all the remaining games will be good ones (and I hope the ref’s will “chill out”)
… It is – I believe – a Cosmic Law, or Universal Rule, or sumsuch: Thou Shalt Root For The Home Team.
Which is a lot less painful when the Home Team is not the Niners…
