Video tour: Upgrading through every version of Windows
A reader pointed out this video to me, and I thought it would make a good “Friday Fun” feature. It may be educational, for some, as well. For others, it may just be a quick stroll down memory lane.
Someone loaded DOS into a virtual machine, and then proceeded to upgrade it with each successive version of Windows, up to the present. Computers then, through now.. a visual evolution. A trip through time. I missed out on the DOS days. I started out with Windows 3.11

Last week Intel made a big deal about the official launch of its Light Peak technology — now called Thunderbolt — which enables much faster data transfers (10Gbps) and the ability to consolidate accessories and video connections into one cable with a connector that is half the size of a USB plug.
