Tech – for Everyone

Tech Tips and Tricks & Advice – written in plain English.

Two Time-ly Reminders

Time Management.

How important have those two words become? Modern life seems (to me) to be non-stop “multi-tasking”; and my mantra = “There’s Never Enough Hours In My Day”.

analog clockTime management was a major factor in my decision to get an android smart phone (see,, My First Look At Android, part 1). Trying to keep ‘on track’ means constant access to online appointment calendars and To Do lists (with audible ‘reminders’), and setting timers..
Time moves too fast, and I wonder, how did it get to be Thursday already?
Google Calendar became so important I bought a device for constant connection. What does that say?

Deadline reminder #1: Taxes
To help you meet this deadline, on the IRS website there is a page called “FreeFile”, and here you will find the “partnership links” to the free versions of 19 accepted tax prep programs — of which H&R Block’s Free File and also TurboTax are available.
To qualify, you must have an Adjusted Gross Income of $56,000 or less.

Today’s free link: FreeFile at the IRS
Note: there’s two buttons on the page; “I will choose” and “help me choose”. Though all of the programs there are accepted by the IRS, I would recommend clicking the “I will choose”, and then selecting either H&R Block or TurboTax.

Deadline reminder #2: Contest  ends
