  1. I wonder what Orwell would think of the state of our society today. We are dangerously close to the events depicted in Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Privacy? Ha! Legal Rights? Only on the surface. But, I digress a bit.

I find solace in the knowledge that honest people still exist, and am thankful folks like Tech Paul keep us informed of the dizzying technical evolution which is unfolding before our eyes…

    • KsTinMan,
A pleasure to see you here again. (And, I will confess to you that quoting Sir Winston wins points w/me.)

I want to be clear: I am presenting the information I do for the purposes of educating people to the risks they are facing so that they will be properly motivated to actually take the steps to protect themselves, and exercise the proper prudence and caution when online — not to depress or discourage them. (Though the facts available are rather depressing and discouraging.)

I endeavor to give my readers the tools and information so that they will not be low-hanging fruit.

(The result is low “ratings”. If I want more readers, I need to write raves over the latest iPhone…)

Those folks who suspect that “tech” may not be the path to Utopia, and that the “wiz kids” bringing it to us may not be as “wizardly” as the media image has us believing, should read John Dvorak
