Tech – for Everyone

Tech Tips and Tricks & Advice – written in plain English.

A Fishing We Will Go | Some Quick Reco’s..

And Some Friday Fun

Dear Reader, for me the weekend is here. Yay!

Better yet, I am – for the first time in a very long while – taking full advantage. There has been something on my mind (which I first wrote about back in September: see, The cigar box.) and I am finally doing something about it. I am leaving today to drive up into Kallyfornyah’s Sierra Nevada mountains where I will be in ‘hot pursuit’ of this fella.

And, BION ¹, I will not be taking a laptop with me.

I am going to take a break from tech, and the Internet.

Don’t worry, though. I have written articles and scheduled them to appear just as if I were here at T4E Headquarters as per usual. (The “magic” of tech.) You won’t even know I’m “gone fishing”. In fact, I wrote this article yesterday.

Some Reading Reco’s:

* Do you think your PC has a virus?

* Don’t Wait Until Your Hard Drive Goes “Clunk-Clunk” – Check It Out Now With These Two Free Tools

* Your data isn’t secure, don’t trust companies to keep it safe

“Our data is no longer safe in the hands of the companies we entrust to keep it that way. It’s time to take back what’s ours.”

[a brief aside: who ever assumed it was safe in the first place? Not me.]

Friday Fun: A word of caution.. this compilation of “fails” made me wince in sympathetic pain. Ouch!

Quote of the day: “Teamwork is a lot of people doing what I say.”
