Netflix outage
There seems to be a small problem with Netflix here where I am (Silicon Valley, CA.) .. like, a total service outage. (Noticed it about 7:30 pm.)
[update: reported outage in Massachusetts and Wisconsin too. Nation-wide?]
FYI: Don’t bother calling them – they just hang up — “We are experiencing a high call volume. Please hang up and try again later.” click.
Anyone else?
Trouble with device ID and/or “instant” streaming?
me too, but i’m in wisconsin. thought it was a problem with my xbox until it wouldnt work on the computer either

North Carolina about 11 PM, May 28, 2011 … Netflix instant streaming hangs at 4%. I am a new old customer; this is the first time I tried to use it since I rejoined 3 days ago…. Called and got “higher than normal call volume call back bye..”.

I was stuck at 3%, so.. you did better than I.
Seems some folks, are back up.. so I am checking here again now. (Just what the admins at their data centers need.. more connection attempts.)

Well, it is after 11p.m. and though there seems to be some minor glitches yet, I was able to view some Cheers.
… several hours, but considering the scope of the trouble, I would say the engineers did well recovering.
