How To Send 100 Photos In An Email

If you have ever tried to ‘attach’ a bunch of pictures to an email, you have probably bumped into email’s limitations. Most Email will only allow you to send 10 MB’s of attachments, and ‘paperclip’ on 4 attachments at a time.

Those of you who have a Hotmail account can use the free (included) “SkyDrive” feature can get around these limits and send your PowerPoint slideshows and/or multiple images with a few clicks. (Yeah, I know. Bashing Microsoft and Hotmail just got a bit harder to do..)
Sharing pictures with friends and family is now a whole lot easier.

To share multiple photos:

  1. Click New to create a new email message.
  2. Type an email address and subject.
  3. Click Photos, and then click New album.
  4. Select the photos that you want to create an album with, and then click Open. Hotmail will upload and save the photos to SkyDrive.
  5. Type a message, and then click Send.

Note: You need to install Microsoft Silverlight to use this feature. This feature is not yet available in all countries or regions.

A short video tutorial is here.

Don’t have a “Windows Live ID” or Hotmail account? You can sign up (free) for one here

WRITING AND SENT BY: Mrs BETICA LUCAS
BILL AND EXCHANGE MANAGER
BANK OF AFRICA (B-O-A)OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA-FASO.

I am Mrs. BETICA LUCAS ; the Manager in charge of Bill & Exchange section of Bank Of Africa, (B-O-A) Ouagadougou Burkina-Faso in West Africa with due respect and regard. I have decided to contact you on a business transactiaon that will be very beneficial to both of us at the end of the transaction.

During our investigation and auditing in this bank, my department came across a very huge sum of money belonging to a deceased person who died on 6th December 2003 in a plane crash and the fund has been dormant in his account with this Bank without any claim of the fund in our custody either from his family or relation before our discovery to this development.

Although, I personally keep the information within myself to enable the whole plans and ideas be Profitable and successful during the time of clearance from the Bank custody.

The said amount was $10.5m dollars (Ten Million Five Hundred Thousand US dollars) You can see the below web site for your clarifications of the incident leading to PAUL LOUIS HALLEY Death: http://newswww.bbc.net.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/oxfordshire/4537003.stm

Meanwhile all the whole arrangement to put claim over this fund as the bona fide next of kin to the deceased, get the required approval and transfer this money to a foreign account has been put in place and directives and needed information will be relayed to you as soon as you indicate your interest and willingness to assist us and also benefit your self to this great business opportunity.
In fact I could have done this deal alone but because of my position in this country as a civil servant (A Banker), we are not allowed to operate a foreign account and would eventually raise an eye brow on my side during the time of transfer because I work in this bank.

This is the actual reason why it will require a second party or fellow who will forward claims, and I will not fail to inform you that this transaction is 100% risk free. On smooth conclusion of this transaction, you will be entitled to 40% of the total sum as gratification, while 60% will be for me. Please, you have been advised to keep “secret” as I am still in service and intend to retire from service after I conclude this deal with you.

I will be monitoring the whole situation here in this bank until you confirm the money in your account and ask me to come down to your country for subsequent sharing of the fund according to percentages previously indicated and further investment, either in your country or any country you advice us to invest in. All other necessary vital information will be send to you when I hear from you soon.

4.AGE:………………………………………
5.Sex……………………………………….
6.OCCUPATION:………………………………..
7.MARITAL STATUS:…………………………….

Again, someone has made the mistake of not offering me a 50/50 split..

Today’s quote:A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.” ~ Douglas Adams

I choose today’s quote because – perhaps I have just become “world weary” and jaded – I am at the point where should someone fall for this (it’s 2011.. and this scam has been around since the Internet.. say.. 1995?) I am kind of thinking Darwin’s Law should apply.

(Darwin’s Law = the weak, the slow, and the stupid are food.)

New Name in Town – Qwikster

 (aka Netflix DVD by mail)

Today I received an apology letter from Reed Hastings, Co-Founder and CEO of Netflix (you may have received one too..).

The letter included some interesting explanations of the recent rate hike, and also the news that the Internet streaming side, and the DVD-by-mail side of Netflix were going to split.

The DVD will get its own website — called “Qwikster”.

He posted a longer and more detailed explanation, and a video, here (get the 4-1-1).

A Heads Up: The Dark Side Of Skype

(+ Handy Windows 7 Productivity Features)

For three years now I have posted warnings about fake, scary warnings delivered by the “chat” part of Skype. That was the old (criminal) method. Now there’s a new ‘trick’.

Let me start with a reminder of the old..

Chat Message Scares Reader Into Installing Malware

Today a Skype chat window opened on my machine, and presented me with a dire warning from someone named “Software Update”, “Registry Scan Online®”, “OnlineUpdate.org”, “OnlineRegistry®” Today’s flavor (I think it was “Update Instructions”..).

It said that “WINDOWS SYSTEM REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION” and, it provided me with a solution… a “repair utility”.

Please, folks, tell me you have spotted this for what it is. Please tell me that you knew –instantly– that this is a cybercrime attempt; that it is Phraud-ulent. (I mean.. there are clues aplenty!) Read more..

Not too long ago, I started receiving Skype calls from similarly named entities..

This user has not shared their details with you

That’s the ‘new method’.

I am too old and too tired of criminal activities, and have not “answered” any of these calls to find out just what kind of attack or scam this is. Perhaps a RL person would try to get me to click a link they send.. perhaps a clever voice robot would.. Fact is, I simply don’t care – nothing good can come from answer this call.

Or any call from someone you don’t know. (You remember the Rule for email? Don’t open email from strangers? Same deal here.)

When we are online, surfing the vast and unpoliced Internet, we simply have to have our “paranoid hat” on, because – yes – people are trying to get us.

I have to keep my Skype profile “public”, for business reasons, but regular folks should set their privacy to “People on my Contact list only”, and reduce the chance of getting these vile interruptions.

1) Click the Tools menu, then Options.

2) Click Privacy settings (left column) and change the radio buttons to “people in my Contact list only“.

Windows 8 Developer Preview available as free download

Netflix Loses 600,000 In Price Hike Revolt

Some of you will want to get your hands on the newest OS in town – Windows 8 – at the first possible moment, and be the first on your block to give it a test drive. You’re in luck. A very early version is now available to download – free.

From Microsoft: The Windows Developer Preview is a pre-beta version of Windows 8 for developers. These downloads include prerelease software that may change without notice. The software is provided as is, and you bear the risk of using it. It may not be stable, operate correctly or work the way the final version of the software will. It should not be used in a production environment ¹. The features and functionality in the prerelease software may not appear in the final version. Some product features and functionality may require advanced or additional hardware, or installation of other software.Read more..

I do not want to dampen any enthusiasm you may be feeling, but if you are thinking this is a way for everyone in the world to get a free copy of Microsoft’s next operating system, so you won’t have to buy it, because someone at that company had a generosity attack, well – wrong.
(Curiously, though, I did not see a mention of an expiration date.. hmmm..)

And I put a superscript ¹ in the quote: “production environment”, to you and me, translates to “your main machine”. They are saying install it on a for-testing (aka “spare”) machine.

The L.A. Times has a good article that, if you are considering downloading and installing this release, you want to read first, here: Windows 8 Developer Preview available as free download

I have not yet had time to download this.. and may (read “probably will”) wait for the beta..
(If a reader has installed this, I think we would all be happy to hear your impressions.)

Netflix In The News: Netflix dims outlook as subscriptions, shares slip

“Netflix’s decision to raise prices by as much as 60 percent is turning into a horror show.

The customer backlash against the higher rates, kicking in this month, has been much harsher than Netflix anticipated.” Read more..

I guess I understand, and even kind of admire certain ‘public protest’, but I think it is misguided here and won’t be joining the revolt, and dropping my Netflix.. in fact, if I had the funds, I think after the price tumble, now might be a good time to pick up some stock.. (no, I don’t know a single thing about the stock market.)
