Go Niners
This is a big, big game for my worst-to-_first?_ S.F. 49ers. Good luck guys!
Update: What an exciting game.. kept me on the edge of my seat, as New Orleans played well, and showed why they are the top-ranked offense.
Congratulations Niners!

MikeyK,
That was an exciting game to witness, and my regard goes to the players on both sides of the ball. (But one team had to lose, and I am glad it was not my team..)

Oh man, MikeyK… I didn’t expect that kind of spanking, Tebow IS a great QB… and I was disappointed to see such a blowout. Those kind of games are never “fun” to watch. I have the feeling that next year will be a Denver dominated season…

What an amazingly great game… and what a pleasure it will be to see NE spank Denver… but since the Broncos are in the AFC West and I’m a die-hard Chiefs fan, I have to hope the Pats win big-time! Sorry MikeyK….

kstinman,
I did not get to see much of that (2nd) game.. and don’t have any particular interest in either team. But I have seen enough of Tom Brady to know he’s a Hall of Fame QB. Tebow? I think the potential is there.. and I am going to keep my eye on him.

Contrary to popular opinion, there are people that exist that don’t like sports….at all.
So I am looking at “abused and various misuses of the apostrophe”. I swear they have a page for that…and even more…
“The little apostrophe deserves our protection. It is indeed a threatened species!”
I got this from my EightCloud newsletter.
Apostrophe Protection Society
I never knew the apostrophe needed protection.
Examples of abuse of the Apostrophe – 1 The poor apostrophe!
More Problems with Words and Punctuation It gets worse…Others are being abused also.
They even have a APS Forum….APS Message Forum – Other English Language Problems
It’s either this..or abuse zombies………

Still bored…How about a browser game?…
Cut the Rope
Got it from Gizmo. “One of the most popular paid-for games on Android and iPads is “Cut the Rope”. Says it runs on IE…Well, it runs on Firefox and Chrome too. :)

19ron49Ron,
You missed a good one. It was a very entertaining game.. a “nailbiter”.
(I also thought the refs did a good job [with non-calls].)

Hey… “right on” Paul! I am one who is not interested in many of the sports…give me CURLING I am right there!
Re: Your interesting introduction of the Abuse Of the Apostrophe is reminding me of the related subject…the Abuse of the English language right across the board.
While Computer Slang/Geek Speak has risen in popularity … regardless of the abuses of the English language … (which makes me cringe at times) I think it is “catchy”! I like the abbreviations and jargon’s…it’s quick and easy to use…but it becomes a bit testy when I am writing something professional/serious. From habit…I sometimes intermingle both styles of English words … then I am grateful for my English Major that kicks in … taking me out of the tech mode for now.
So that it not be perplexing to the reader…I write Sincerely Yours…not SY…I see- not IC …and Thanks, not THX. I think this is an interesting part/learning process of the tech world…I LIKE!

Have to agree, Gaia. I like using Geek Speak at times. Especially since I have arthritis in my fingers. (I noticed you do the same as I….using run on sentences but separating them with lots of periods instead of using commas.) If I find an acronym I don’t know, I fire up the Urban Dictionary. Dragon Naturally doesn’t like Geek Speak or my Southern accent. Usually we end up on bad terms so I don’t use it much..even though, it does save on the fingers.
There is so much out there that is “cringe worthy” like “their/there”, “break/brake” and the one I hate the most…..”your/you’re”. But you got to remember there are many that English is their second language. And I applaud them.
And for those wondering…and I am sure, there are a few….No, I didn’t join the APS Forum.

delenn13… Yes, using Geek Speak is sort of a treat for me… getting away from the rigid, traditional use of English Grammar…where commas and semi colons etc.have to be used in my field of Journalism. Now, Geek Speak is recognized in that field as well…when used appropriately.
I have fun with Geek Speak!
