What? More Facebook? | Inside Your PC
Yes, folks. A bit more on Facebook…

Really busy again today, so how about a quick repost of a good article you may have missed.
What The Inside Looks Like…
Today’s article is going to be just a little bit different, and it will be ‘short and sweet’. On several recent onsite repair jobs, I have opened the computer’s side panel and heard the client exclaim, “that’s all that’s in there? I was expecting more.. more.. stuff.” I am always bemused by people’s reactions when they look inside a PC for the first time.
(Yes, there’s a lot of open space inside a desktop PC. Laptop’s are different, and every nook is filled.)
So today – for those of you who have never seen the insides of a computer – I provide two simple photos: inside a desktop, and inside a laptop. (Your configuration will have some differences..)
Fairly high-end desktop (aka “loaded”), yours may not have so much in there..

The one thing I am amazed at is..how clean those pics are.
We will go to someone’s house and open their PC and (especially if the tower is on the floor and they have pets) it is a mess of dust and pet hair. Usually a good cleaning of the fan alone will speed up your PC. People just don’t realize.
Mine is over due….
Facebook..meh!

delenn13,
Well, one can hope that folks have – at least once – come across an advice article.. like mine, here.
But, yes.. I could tell you stories of what I have seen in there…….

…and more about Face Book! An interesting article to start the day here and good news: people returning to the work force. It stands to reason; regardless of the extended research done on the subject…when people are working/busy their time is limited with less time for many things. Yes, working would cut into their time on Face book.
What The Inside Looks Like: Wow! What a timely topic for me. Thanks Paul. I happen to have the panel off the tower of my X P…(with all the similar, amazing wires exposed. I’m in the process of getting inside, hopefully to find the stubborn problem of “why it is not working…since all else has failed to get it up-and-running again.” Those photos posted here are excellent…almost as clear as what I am seeing for “real”…inside my tower. My laptop…so far…so good…no problem with it. That photo too is great.

Gaia,
So.. was that the first time you had looked inside a computer? (If so, what was your first reaction?)(And how much dust and pet hair did you find?)
I do hope you resolve your troubles.

Well sort of…but seeing the photos refreshed my memory as to “just how it looks.”
No dust bunnies or animal hair so far.
