Remembering…
Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War, it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.
A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Another tradition is to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff from dawn until noon local time. Many people observe this holiday by visiting cemeteries and memorials.
Some Americans view Memorial Day as the unofficial beginning of Summer, and the holiday is also used as a time for picnics, barbecues, family gatherings, and sporting events. One of the longest-standing traditions is the running of the Indianapolis 500 motor race.
Please have a safe and joyous Holiday Weekend.

The hubby is having minor surgery today so just have time to post this. Found this on the Toronto Sun Site. Looks to be interesting. I expect everyone to be versed and up to date with all info when I get back. Heck, Maybe I will even set up a TLD under .geek…depends on what is entailed..I just glanced through it.
Welcome to Undernet-Toronto SUN Undernet..that brings back memories..haven’t been there in years.
OpenNIC
I don’t recall(but i have a memory that only works when it wants to) anyone posting anything about this here.
Please discuss this.

delenn13,
It absolutely boggles my mind that, apparently, the only ones who seem at all concerned about a free and open Internet are the pirates.
Since I cannot condone, or affiliate myself in any way, with those who might “misuse” the tech, I will not comment on this except as follows — this is an interesting item and I thank you for bringing it to my attention. And I doubt that any “average computer user” out there (aka “for Everyone”) understands “DNS” or cares. (“TLD”? You may as well say “kooblahfrizzle” to them.) (Example: my article about, and reco’s for, OpenDNS (a service I do highly recommend) got maybe three reads and no clickthroughs.)
