Sunday Beauty 92

I kind of doubt I have my facts straight, but I think today is Canada Day.. but that it gets celebrated tomorrow? (Or.. celebrated today, but everything’s closed tomorrow?) So just to be on the safe side, I am going to wish all my Canadian friends a happy (and safe) holiday now.

And also post a Canada-related Sunday Beauty image.

(And thank you, but no: you don’t have to write in and tell me that it isn’t true that Canada looks like this all the time, or that you keep polar bears as pets, and ride dog sleds to work… I know that. I just like this image.)

  1. Where I live, we tend to celebrate the “Best of Both Worlds”. So it can really be confusing here.

The Friendship Festival is an annual celebration of the bond between Canada and the United States. This event is held in Fort Erie, Ontario and Buffalo, New York, which are connected by the Peace Bridge. The festival began in 1987 and is held from June 29 to July 4. These dates encompass Canada Day (July 1) and Independence Day (July 4). The festival also marks the nearly 200 year state of official peace between the two neighbors since the end of the War of 1812.

  2. Yes, it’s really a good time….The first year after the enforcement of Passports, was kinda slow at times….. The walk cross the bridge wasn’t as “free”.

Ummm.. not exactly my cup of tea. But I am certain many (most?) will smile and enjoy.

(Maybe it’s just my allergic reaction to Monday mornings..)

Madonna’s “Vogue”.. wow, that brought back memories!
