    • Gaia,
When it comes to something as important as personal email, I always advise doing some basic research before making any changes. But I think a lot of people are going to like this one.

      • Thanks Paul for Further Info. “reviews – cnet”…of Outlook. However, I think there’s a few Interesting Changes…but again we are faced with Ads.

In order to avoid the Ads when checking emails the Preview Pane has to be turned on… then there’s No Ads. When the Preview Pane is turned off the Ads Appear (to the right)

Microsoft is saying “they are not reading emails for Ads”.. who believes that?
        Oh, well, “we can’t win-em-all!

Hope they do not make any Drastic Changes to Skype.

        • Gaia,
Well, the vast majority of people don’t mind ads and want Facebook/Twitter integration. And they probably will take Microsoft at its “won’t read it” word.

          I am the opposite.

            • Gaia,
Outlook (the expensive program, available with the upper-end Office suite) is considered by many as THE email client software.

Outlook.com/Hotmail is an online “service”, and a whole ‘nother animal. With online services, you are either going to pay a “subscription” or “upgrade” fee, or be shown ads. And everything you do – it seems to me – will be datamined.. the only question is will that info be used strictly internally, or sold to “3rd parties”.

              • Yes..I have the Outlook Expensive Program Upper End Office Suite…”I know the difference between the two.” I am talking about Outlook.com/Hotmail. I took a short cut … and just used the word Outlook to distinguish between the two.

                • Gaia,
                  I rather thought you did.

Basically I was just clarifying (and underscoring) a point for the readers, and explaining – again – the “why” of the ads.

I apologize if I offended anyone.
