(History shows how well things work once the beancounters take control of something.. [and there’s good reason it is a derogatory term.] Trying to get the suits to comprehend anything remotely IT-related, and budgeted, is one of the oldest headaches in the biz [ref: Dilbert character “pointy-haired boss“.])

  1. “ISPs can slow or suspend web use under anti-piracy program”… I’ve sure been expecting it. As a retired software engineer, I know how many hours (sometimes thousands) go into a good application. If it’s intended to be shareware or freeware, that’s fine. Otherwise there is no excuse for such theft. Movies and music fall into a similar category. It will be stopped one way or another. Can’t really blame them, can we?
