Tech – for Everyone

Tech Tips and Tricks & Advice – written in plain English.

Hacker University

Folks, a great (and rather informative) article to recommend today. It’ll give you an idea why I say what I say about the Internet, and it may be the most important subject nobody’s talking about.

* Criminals Register for Cyberfraud University

Like their counterparts at major universities, criminal professors are teaching the next generation of cyber criminals via Skype, online courses, and individual tutorials. They’re also offering hosted, cloud-based fraud services that enable less sophisticated criminals to wreak havoc from afar.Read more..

I like this paragraph best:So with little money, felonious-minded individuals are easily armed for financial warfare on the targets of their choice. They are banding together to attack financial institutions, publishers, repositories of consumer and corporate data, military bases, and anyone else they want — or are paid to — take down or steal from.

Read the article won’t you? And pass it on.

  1. Cyberfraud University…Mind Boggling, to say the least.
We’ve been living in an almost Lawless Society for some time now, but
Cyberfraud University, teaching the next generation, that’s just too much… and yes,
scary too. Cyber Crime has taken on a life of its own…stronger and with
speed that is defeating the Tech World; into Destruction with the potential of a Big Crash.

And as you said Paul, it may be the most important subject that no one is talking about. Amazing!!!
Lots to be said on this and related subjects…I could rant all day about it, but people don’t want to hear, let alone listen.

I’m not the only one who thinks it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.

And it doesn’t matter too much what we (individuals) try to do to protect ourselves, as this (today’s) headline will tell you (and this is just one attack). Adobe admits 2.9M customer accounts have been compromised

Unfortunately, the attack on Adobe also compromised customer names, encrypted credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, and other information relating to customer orders.Read more..

No. No surprise. To about 1% of Internet users.

The other 99% have no clue.

(Percentages cited are my Best Guesstimate.)
