sir i have windows xp on my pc 1.99gb RAM,directx9.0,14gb free disk space, i able to play vice city,wwe games without being error but one game ashes cricket 2009 when i tap to play error comes “cannot run because instance of this programm is already running” why this error come and how to fix and play this game.

Reboot your machine. If it still occurs after that, open Task Manager, see if – in fact – it is listed in the Processes tab; if so, click on it, and then click “End Task” to stop that running ‘instance’; then try to launch the game. If it isn’t listed, or that doesn’t resolve your issue, you can try reinstalling the game, or fiddling with its ‘compatibilty’ settings. Good luck.

hi thnks for reply i try all your provided step reboot my pc,reinstall game and also with compability mode but still error showing my problem is still left not fixed now what i do for play this game any else solution.

Truth is, you should not be running winXP (too old) nor spending time trying to get software from 2009 to run. But, I wrote an article for win7 users trying to get XP-era games to run that may give you some ideas – click here.
And you might try google search “ashes cricket 2009 cannot start as an instance is”. Or post your question in a gamer’s forum.
