ANITFSCD #6

(And Now It’s Time For Something Completely Different #6)

One of the things I like about the show House is the soundtrack. Sometime during the show (usually at the end) they will play a great track that just seems to .. resonate with the theme/feeling.

Last night, I happened to watch S4 E5 and the track was strangely, dimly, familiar… and made me smile. Here it is. Maybe it’ll make a few of you smile as well. ;-)
(And don’t worry, this isn’t my usual heavy rock ‘n roll.)

In the interest of fairness..

I realize that my uptempo, electric “rock and roll” is not everyone’s cup of tea. So I am going to offer up a bit of “balance” today. I stumbled across a video which features some truly famous, nay, legendary,  performers having a “jam session” — of some uptempo, electric Blues.

Folks, this music video matches my mood, and I think almost everyone will like it, regardless of their musical preferences, if they give it a honest try (I say “almost” because it doesn’t put you to sleep; so people who only listen to Classical/Opera [probably] won’t like it). Technically “Rock”, it’s really uptempo R&B.. with a touch of rockabilly.. performed by a music legend. I hope you’ll enjoy.

I can get away with this.. it’s the weekend!

Just going to ramble a little bit today.. But I hope you’ll find something rewarding.

* Here in Kallyfornyah, we give birth to every kooky New Age fad that sweeps the nation; and so the whole Think Your Way To A Happier, Wealthier You thing is, to me, kinda “so 80’s” (and the Fonz is saying, “Aayy“). Depak Chopra, Tony Robbins, et al, became .. well, a bit passe here. You found The Science of Getting Rich and its brethren in the library’s free bin.

But in these “tough economic times”, I’m sensing a resurgence in popularity.. “self help”. And, hey, that’s “cool”. I’m all for people expanding their minds.

I read this one, though, that said all I had to do was visualize my mansion, “see” myself in my Rolls Royce, and “feel” the security that having all the money I need feels like,, And that if I did this everyday, and really got “into it” (came to believe), the Universe would simply materialize those things in my life.

That sounded easy, so I’ve been giving it The Old College Try. For two decades now …
Clearly, I must be doing something wrong..!

And Now It’s Time For Something Completely Different (#2)

(AKA “Friday Fun”)

Yesterday, I heard one of those songs that was .. “hauntingly familiar” to me ..

Perhaps you have heard it.. or at least this version of it.. (aka “lyrical”)

But, in looking the song up, I discovered that the song itself was born by artists more of my “genre” (I am a “rocker”). Maybe some of you will like it..

And for those of you who would prefer a few yuks to tunes, I went looking around YouTube for some “funnies”. I started my hunt by looking at what was “trending” today.

Wow. There was not one thing there even mildly interesting (yet these vids are hot! hot! HOT!)

So I narrowed my search by clicking on the “Entertainment” category..

Again, wow. There was not one thing there even mildly interesting (yet these vids are hot! hot! HOT!) Running short on time, I just grabbed the link to one titled “Best bloopers ever”.. which I didn’t have time to pre-screen (so I don’t know if there’s any “adult” stuff in there.. Watch at your own risk.)
