What? Another Poll? (And, Nude Olympics)

I thought the Grand Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic Games was, well… nevermind. I am curious what you all think.

Thank you for your participation.

(Call me a grouchy old curmudgeon if you like, but I will not be watching one minute of the Olympics. I could not possibly care less about them. That’s been true for several decades now..)

Here is the Friday Fun video (a day late):

Today’s quote:Crystallize your goals. Make a plan for achieving them and set yourself a deadline. Then, with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for obstacles and other people’s criticisms, carry out your plan.” ~ Paul J. Meyer

  1. Olympics = Sports

Sports do not darken my TV screen.

So, yes, I knew they were on but I did not watch it. (Have to add that option to your poll.)

Other Reason: I haven’t watched the Olympics since 2002 and Jamie Salé & David Pelletier were robbed of their Gold medal. Co-gold medalists! What a load of malarkey! I was screaming at the TV.

Jamie Sale and David Pelletier 2002 Olympic Free Program w/ scoring reactions (high Q) – YouTube

Jamie Salé & David Pelletier Bio

At the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Canadian pair skaters Jamie Salé & David Pelletier achieved magic in their free skate, set to music from the film Love Story. When they finished their extraordinary program, you could hear a pin drop as the audience held their collective breath before erupting into thunderous applause. The cheers turned into boos when the scoreboard showed they had finished second, and in the days that followed unprecedented Olympic controversy unfolded as a judging scandal was revealed. Ultimately, Salé and Pelletier were named co-gold medalists and clearly also won the hearts of millions of fans around the world for the incredible grace and dignity they demonstrated both on and off the ice.

  2. Hey, “as busy as my summer is’; I will take time to comment on today’s blog. This vid appears to be a popular one, someone sent me the same. Nudity At The Olympics…Funny!
As for watching the Olympics, I am too busy to pay attention to it.

Besides…and yes, I lost faith in it all… with all its politics… since the 2002 Olympics…(many people did) Re: Jamie Sale’ and David Pelletier when they lost their well deserving gold medal. While I still appreciate the skills and talents of the participants of which I might take a peek at…I lost my Zest for the Olympics.

    Let others enjoy!
